ODE TO FORCE

Many unsung, mostly forgotten, many many fallen.....here stand our heroes humble, with heads square on their able and strong shoulders with many victories at their feet. Men in uniform fighting terror, natural calamities, wars, their social status, their family problems and many....all with broad smiles on their faces, they take pride of being in the family of olive green. These bravados, these gladiators are up standing there right on the line of danger, in the very line of fire...24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year...come hail, come storm, bullets or shells...they stand.....these magnificent men stand upright.....there....to meet hell or heaven, devil or death, head on looking into the eyes of the enemy who is set to breach the walls of our country and crush them to dust. " Tan mein Vindhyachal ka bal hai, mann mein Tajmahal hai.....", said a poet referring to these daredevils. These epitomes of sacrifice lay down their lives without a word on their lips and thought in their mind for their love towards their fellow countrymen and for our motherland. But then, the old man's saying goes" Gods and Soldiers are only remembered in time of need. Once need is fulfilled and danger conquered, Gods are forgotten and soldiers slighted." Hey friends, remember, " when you go back to your homes, tell the people that we gave our today for your tomorrow" says our epitaph. Do bow down your heads once a year for these impeccable valiant superheroes.
WE DESERVE IT....Don't we?

'A HERO IS SOMEONE WE CAN ADMIRE WITHOUT APOLOGY......'

His world..He walked with me:

And then we walked together, through the narrow lanes of this world watching people trying to jail the Almighty, people fighting for superiority, some ruling the world, some serving and everyone blaming another and not at the least sparing Him.

We walked together..watching the calamities, mother nature's unnatural cruelities, uncontrollable havoc and unleashing epidemics cutting the size and fate of human race.

We walked together.. watching the divisions in humanity, their castes and religions, their breeds and greeds, their science and conscience, their wealth and health, their intelligence and ignorance.

We walked together.. watching holy books, holymen, maharishis, popes, peers and paigambars trying to spread their words as words of God sometimes and trying to be God themselves most of the times.

We walked together....as He laughed.

Hey friends i visited Shantiniketan yesterday. Stay tuned for some interesting things of the visit in my next post

Tagore says:

Where the mind is without fear,
and the head is held high,
where knowledge is free,
where the world is not broken up,
into fragments by narrow domestic walls,
where words come out from depth of truth,
where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection,
where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way,
into the dreary detest sand of dead habit,
where the mind is led forward by thee,
into ever widening thought and action,
into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.

THE BHAGAVAD GITA SAYS THUS.......
The man dwelling on sense objects develops attachments for them, from attachment springs up desire and from desire ensues anger, from anger arises infatuation, from infatuation arises confusion of memory, from confusion of memory arises loss of reason, from loss of reason one goes to complete ruin.

He who has not controlled his mind and senses can have no reason; nor can such an indisciplined man think of GOD.... The unthinking man can have no peace; and how can there be happiness for one lacking peace of mind.
